Song Qian 宋茜 (Victoria)

Here we see Victoria in a simple “Little Black Dress”. It’s just the basic strapless, single color with a bow on top for accent. She accessorizes with a black hat, whether you would call it a “ Fedora,  Bowler or Trilby Style” it also adds style without losing the theme, “Simple but elegant”. Finally she has a nice long chain necklace and a grouping of bracelets on one arm and a single on the other to give the outfit a bit of “Bling”. Very nicely done Victoria!

In the above picture we see Victoria with group member Krystal at a somewhat formal function. Again we find her in a little but classy dress. Black is one of those colors that can be worn on almost any occasion. Here she actually accents the outfit with the pattern contrast of white on black along with the black shoes and clutch. I’m not sure I would have chosen the cut-out wide plastic belt to go with this. Maybe a thin black belt or rope/cloth style with the same pattern as the dress would be better. Just an observation of the picture, I think they should have switched dresses. Krystal’s dark hair would have better accented the pattern dress and Victoria’s lighter hair would have given contrast to the solid as in the prior picture. Any man could be very proud to have either of these two ladies beside him!

Now we see Victoria in casual clothing. Just as her colorful and quirky personality is something that grows on you I suspect this outfit could. She must really need to know what time it is with all the watches. Maybe it is time to talk to the plants as she does in IY1.
(For those of you that are new to kpop I recommend you watch the Korean variety show called “Invincible Youth”. It has a number of Kpop lady idols doing hard work and having fun. IY1 takes place in a farming village and IY2 is in a fishing village. In fact there are a number of these types of shows involving Kpop stars. They will give you an inside look at their personalities and culture.)
I tried to see a color scheme or theme to this outfit but can’t. We have the red, black and white plaid shirt with blue jean jacket, maybe?  Black jeans with skinny turquoise belt along with the sheepskin vest, no! I think maybe the shirt, jeans and a black jean jacket would go together great. She should have omitted the belt and vest.

Now we see Victoria with all her cuteness. Oddly enough, these head bands are very popular. Whether it is this type with a bow or it’s bunny ears or cat ears or a number of others. It gives these ladies a unique look and just makes you want to cuddle them. As always, “it is up to you and who you want to please”.   I am sorry for the missed days but my sister site was having difficulties (with the powers to be of the music world) and I was considering stopping the blogs but I have now decided to push on despite the difficulties. I Thank everyone for your support.

Bae SuJi 배수지 (Suzy 수지)

When the snow flies as it does in January, we need warmth and style. Here Suzy 수지 has done just that. Although I wouldn’t want to be caught in a storm with this outfit, it works well for everyday travel. It has a nice bright color with pockets for hand warming. The shoulder flares break up the line of the arm/shoulder area and blends well with the collar to give a pleasant look to the top of the coat. The front buttons probably secure an overlap with concealed zipper which closes the lower half without having an undue amount of buttons. The bag also works well with this outfit. The long shoulder strap allows her to keep her hands warm while giving the style that goes with the jacket. The darker shade of browns in the bag against the lighter tan of the jacket gives the set contrast but stays within a color scheme. Very well done, Suzy.

Next we have her wearing a very intriguing evening gown. Firstly, strapless can be a challenge. Either being too revealing for some and others would have difficulties holding it up. In this case it works just fine! I like the under-skirt with the full length lace, it is unusual. It gives both cover for her legs while at the same time revealing her legs. The simple bracelet and earrings finish the look while keeping in the realm elegant. Again, very well done.

Now, for those long winter nights and the inevitable snuggling or whenever you want to pull your man from the television try this outfit. Speaking from a man's point of view, it’s not always about skin. Here we have plenty of skin with the string straps and sleeveless arms. The form fitting cut gives us the hour glass shape we love. The soft color whether it’s pink or any other as long as it isn’t gaudy or load gives us the sense of feminine. As the previous outfit, we have two layers of material which gives the piece texture. I would imagine it is silky to the touch which also gives us feminine. But what do I know, I like flannel pajamas too.

In this picture by Bazaar, I really don’t know what they were thinking. Even Suzy looks happy to be wearing this outfit. She looks like she is about to cry. For one thing, there seems to be too much texture. Either have ruffles/pleating on the skirt or the blouse but not both. Secondly, the short skirt and long sleeve jacket don’t work for me. Is it summer or fall, make up my mind! Then full gloves, what's up with that?? Let see what else, the different shades of tan work but, what’s with the green?? Each item is nice by itself but not in combination. I’m about as happy to see Suzy in this as Suzy is wearing it. Not well done!

Narsha 나르샤 ( Park Hyo Jin 박효진 )

Today I’ll talk about Narsha 나르샤 from the kpop group Brown Eyed Girls 브라운 아이드 걸스. In the above photo, which is very conservative for Narsha, she is wearing a solid colored knit top with black jeans. She uses the plaid pattern of the jacket to give the outfit contrast and life. The plain chain necklaces give her a bit of style without any of the attention focused there. But of course this is Narsha, so we have to have some kind of  “I’m unique”. The shoulder piece could be a broach of sorts perhaps. I don’t think you can buy that off the shelf, so I would assume it was created for or by her. Again, it is unique but not over the top. A very nice look.

I like the top above, it has a definite flare to it . But I wonder what it would look like after a couple dozen cleanings. My other concern with this is it may be limited to the kind of function it can be worn at. It looks to be a black bra she has on here. But even with a white one there is the contrast of white material and the flush of the skin. It may be nice for a dinner at home with the “hubby”, but otherwise? It would work for me at dinner!

I’ll start by appoligizing for the watermark in the picture, but I wanted to use this. The dress design itself is very nice. I always like a dress with the straps around the neck or over the shoulders. I would assume the back is totally open. It has a deep V cut but also plenty of material to cover. As expected it is quite loud though. Fortunately the focal points in the patterns are that of her waist and thighs, not elsewhere. Another thing I wasn’t pleased with is the length. I would have liked to see it a bit shorter so as to see her shoes/feet. So it’s passable but not ideal for my tastes.

By far, this is my favorite, her classic hat and braids. All she needs now is her big rimmed black glasses. This is the reason I love Narsha, she wears what she pleases and always looks good. Not to mention she has a heart of gold and a bold personality. Don’t ever change my dear. You can find great outfits at K-styleme or any of the other stores offered at the right.
As Narsha shows us, It’s up to you or who you're trying to please.
